A PIL has been filed within the Supreme court of India which seeks that uniform grounds should be available for gender-neutral and religion neural which stand considerably beneficial for the succession and inheritance and this could be available to all or any the citizens of India.

The plea prays that the neutrality and therefore the uniformity are considerably important and necessary because it ensures that there’s gender justice, gender equality, and dignity of girls among the citizens of the state. It also ensures and promotes unity, fraternity, and integration among the citizens.

The plea also states that the people in India are from different religions and that they are governed by their own different set of rules and regulations which are followed by them, but the principles which are currently concerning the succession and inheritance are against the gender justice, gender equality and dignity of girls which is extremely much necessary and further to feature to the statement the privacy laws and also offending and are against the Articles 14, 15, and 21 of the Constitution of India.

The plea further adds that it has been 73 years since India got independence, still, we don’t have any laws which are enacted and established which is said to be gender-neutral and religion-neutral for inheritance and succession regardless of the Articles 14 and 15 which basically states and guarantees that there should be equality before the law and equal protection of laws and prohibiting the states from treating the lads and ladies differently which is guaranteed by the Article 15.

The petitioner prays that the addition of the uniform grounds for the succession and inheritance will eventually strengthen the Constitutional ethos which is laid down partially III and IV of the Constitution of India.

The petitioner further adds that there are certain provisions that are provided to make sure that there’s justice, social and economic and political rights, liberty of expression and thoughts, assuring the dignity of individual, unity, and therefore the integration of the state.

But in spite of those provisions, the states don’t provide the bottom which is unformed for the inheritance and succession because there’s considerably gender inequality happening which isn’t acceptable within the socialist secular and democratic republics state.

It is prayed that the Court should check out the priority and will direct the Law Commission of India to take some steps required regarding this matter concerning the succession and inheritance.
