In the Riots of February 2020 in Delhi a 23-year young man Faizan got injured as a result of the force used by police personnel and made him sing the national anthem.

The viral video depicts Faizan and four other people were lying injured on the 66 footboards in North East Delhi. Faizan was allegedly assaulted by the mother, later he had been taken to Joyoti Nagar Police station where he died.

The mother of Faizan had then filed a petition asking for Court Monitored investigation by the Special Investigation Team.

While hearing the matter Justice Gupta asked the Delhi Police why it was taking too much time to investigate as 2 years had already passed.

Court also questioned the Police why the original video was not traced.

The previous investigating officer in the matter Pankaj Arora told that police had identified the person who made the video. He also added that a lie detection test was conducted on him which revealed that whatever he was saying was deceptive.

The Court asked for Status Report with all answers therein.

The matter will be taken up on 22 February now.
